BG John W. Lubas
Honorary President

A native of Belle Mead, New Jersey, BG Lubas was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 1997. As a company grade officer, he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Aide-de-Camp and Executive Officer in the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; and as a staff officer and Company Commander in the 25th Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington. He later served as staff officer and Company Commander in 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington. 

As a Field Grade officer, BG Lubas served as the Battalion Liaison and Plans Officer, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer for 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and the Regimental Operations Officer for the 75th Ranger Regiment.  

BG Lubas commanded 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the Regimental Special Troops Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia, and 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.  

BG Lubas later served as the Executive Officer to the Secretary of the Army and the Deputy Commanding General-Operations, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). BG Lubas most recently served as the Director of Operations, Readiness and Mobilization, G-3/5/7, Headquarters Department of the Army.  

BG Lubas deployed 12 times to Afghanistan and Iraq with the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 101st Airborne Division and deployed to Poland and Romania with the 101st Airborne Division. His awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Master Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge and Ranger Tab. BG Lubas is a Distinguished Member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. 

BG Lubas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Wake Forest University, a Master of Science in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.

CSM Donald Durgin

Command Sergeant Major Donald Durgin is a native of Massachusetts and entered the United States Army in July 1996. He completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and later attended Advanced Individual Training and graduated as a Cannon Crewmember (13B).

CSM Durgin’s duty positions include Cannon Crewmember, Gunner, Howitzer Section Chief, Advanced Individual Training (AIT) Instructor, Gunnery Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Battery First Sergeant, Senior Military Science Instructor, DIVARTY First Sergeant, USASMA Student, DIVARTY Operations SGM, Battalion CSM for the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Infantry Division Artillery CSM, and I Corps G3/5/7 Operations SGM. CSM Durgin is currently assigned as the 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart CSM. His assignment locations include Fort Riley, KS, Baumholder, Germany, Fort Sill, OK, Fort Stewart, GA, Vilseck, Germany, Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, Fort Bliss, Fort Carson, CO, and Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. He has numerous training and combat deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait.

CSM Durgin is a graduate of all Army NCOES schools to include the United States Army Sergeant’s Major Course Class 69, Nominative Leaders Course (NLC), Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education II (SEJPME II) Course, First Sergeant’s Course, Foundation Instructor Facilitator (FIFC) Course, Asymmetrical Warfare Group (AWG) ASLTE Training Course, Master Resiliency Trainer (MRT) Course (8R), Battle Staff Course (2S), Field Artillery Master Gunner Course (A7), Air Assault Course (2B), Unit Search Advisor Course, Combatives Level 1 Courses, Equal Opportunity Leader (EOL) Course, Total Army Instructor Training (TAITC) Course, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Course, and the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Course. He currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Workforce Development from the CGSC.
