Hi, this is Gabe Guevarra, I joined our Society when I was in San Pedro, California back in March of 2007. I was born at a US Naval Hospital inside the US Naval Base of Sangley Point, The Philippines. I am the older of the two children of Josefina Guevarra, Licensed Pharmacist, and Gabriel Guevarra, US Navy (ret). My primary, secondary, and college educations were completed in the Philippines. I enlisted in the United States Army in May 1975 and served with D Company, 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division stationed at Graves Kaserne, Aschaffenburg, West Germany from 1975-77. I was on active duty from 1975 to 1995, and retired from the US Army at Ft Bragg, NC.
I entered the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an Inspector in Los Angeles, CA, was promoted to Consumer Safety Officer, and later served as a Compliance Officer. In 2008, I was transferred by my Agency as a Consumer Safety Officer in the field of Import Operations to the Port of Charleston here in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC. I subsequently transfer to Outpost # 3 Lattie Tipton, Eastern Region and later accepted the position of Secretary / Treasurer for Outpost # 3 in July 2015. My wife Percy and I live in Ladson, just outside of Charleston and we are blessed to have two sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren who live in Fayetteville, NC.
